Yext vs BrightLocal: enterprise platform or local SEO toolkit?
One shows you prices on its website. The other asks you to book a demo. That alone tells you a lot about who each one is built for.
For business owners and agencies trying to decide where to keep listings, rankings and reviews, and anyone wondering if Yext is worth it for a small business.
Prices on this page were checked on each tool's own pricing page on Nov 3, 2026.

The short version
Yext is an enterprise platform for big multi-location brands: listings, reviews, pages, search and AI visibility. BrightLocal is a local SEO toolkit for agencies and smaller businesses: audits, rank tracking, grids, citations, listings and reviews.
What we verified (Nov 3, 2026)
BrightLocal, for one location: Track was $41 a month billed monthly or $369 a year ($31 a month). Manage, which adds keeping your details synced across key sites and Google posts, was $54 a month or $485 a year ($40 a month). Grow, which adds review monitoring and review requests, was $65 a month or $584 a year ($49 a month). It offers a free trial with no credit card.
BrightLocal also sells citation building pay-as-you-go, from $3.20 per site or as low as $2 with bulk credits, and submits to five data aggregators (Data Axle, Neustar Localeze, Foursquare, Yellow Pages Network and GPS Network).
Yext: no public price. yext.com/pricing returned a 404, and the site points you to "Contact sales" and "Get a demo." Yext says its listings go to 200+ publishers and AI tools through direct integrations, with no aggregator in between.
Pick Yext if
You run dozens or hundreds of locations, need enterprise controls and one vendor for listings, reviews and location pages, and have the budget for a sales-led contract.
Pick BrightLocal if
You're a single business or an agency, you want to see the price before you talk to anyone, and you also want rankings, audits and client reports, not only listings.
Worried about leaving Yext?
Cancelling can leave listings messy. Before you switch, screenshot your main listings. BrightLocal's Citation Builder can clean them up per site, and Whitespark sells a one-time Yext Replacement Service at $399 per location (US only).
- Yext's prices. We couldn't find them on Yext's site. If you get a quote, ask for the contract length and what happens to your listings if you cancel, in writing.
- Yext's "200+ publishers" and "no aggregator" claims come from Yext's own site. We didn't test them.
- We didn't test listing sync speed or accuracy side by side.
Bottom line
For most small businesses and agencies, BrightLocal is the easier, cheaper-to-start choice. Yext only makes sense once you're a large multi-location brand and a sales contract doesn't scare you.
