AgencyAnalytics vs Looker Studio: pay for reports, or build them free?
It's the end of the month and five client reports are due. You can build them yourself for free, or pay a tool to do most of it. That's really the whole decision.
For local SEO and marketing agencies sending monthly client reports, and freelancers trying to decide if a paid reporting tool is worth it yet.
Prices on this page were checked on each tool's own pricing page on Nov 3, 2026.

What we verified (Nov 3, 2026)
Looker Studio / Data Studio: Google says the self-service version is "available at no charge for creators and report viewers." Data Studio Pro, for teams that want admin features and Google Cloud support, was $9 per user per project per month. Google says it connects to more than 1,400 data sources through built-in and partner connectors.
AgencyAnalytics: $20 per client per month on its Core plan, billed annually, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card. Every client includes unlimited data sources, reports, dashboards and staff accounts, 90+ marketing integrations, automated reports and a white-labeled client portal.
Pick Looker Studio if
You're just starting out, your clients mostly use Google tools (Analytics, Search Console, Ads, Sheets), and you're happy to build your own templates. Free is hard to beat.
Pick AgencyAnalytics if
You have enough clients that report-building eats your week, you want a branded portal clients can log into, and you'd rather pay per client than spend weekends fixing charts.
In between
Some agencies keep Looker Studio and pay for connectors to pull in non-Google data. Reporting Ninja sells Data Studio connectors with a report builder from $25 a month. Other paid suites we checked: DashThis from $54 a month ($44 billed yearly) and Swydo from €69 a month (€62 billed yearly).
- AgencyAnalytics' month-to-month price. Its page showed the annual price; the monthly number didn't appear in what we could read.
- Which non-Google sources connect to Looker Studio for free versus needing a paid partner connector. It depends on the source, so check before you build.
- We didn't time how long a report takes to build in each tool.
Bottom line
Under five clients and mostly Google data? Use free Looker Studio. Growing past that, or tired of building reports by hand? AgencyAnalytics at $20 per client a month usually pays for itself in saved hours.
